I WAS BORN A RAISED IN NYC.
Born and raised in Washington Heights during the 70's exposed me to a plethora creative color that came to life via tags in tenements hallways, on the streets and on the #1, A and C trains. The heights back in the day was like the mecca of aerosal art aka graffitti. When I was 10 years old I moved to Brooklyn. it was here that I began to indulge in the world of graffiti. I was no longer a spectator, fan, admiring the sometimes manic mosiac. I was now a full blown enthusist on my way to becoming a "writer". I started with dry mark refillibles and worked my way up to pilots with the thick tips. Late nite bombing on D train layups or tagging the trains in a dark and dangerous subterranean world was a writers playground. In the late 1970s, while radio boomboxes played disco and funky uprock jams, the smell of my air was spray paint. Those were fun times. By the way my tag was KE-one. Today some 30 years later. I work full time. I have a supportive wife who got me back into art, thank you honey. I have two great girls who mean the world to me. So here I am in the year 2010. I love to paint and I hope you like what you see and if you dont, thats cool too.Thank you .
